Dean of the College of Design

I am very pleased to announce that Dr. Michael Speaks has accepted the position of Dean of the College of Design, effective February 1, 2008, contingent upon UK Board of Trustees approval. His decision was influenced by numerous factors, including the excellent reception afforded him by all components of the college. The faculty, staff and students of the college helped make our recruitment of Dr. Speaks successful, and I am extremely grateful to all of you. I look forward very much to working with Dr. Speaks in charting the future direction and growth of the College.
