SUBJECT: Air Freight Procedures and Rates
Due to recent changes in air freight rates initiated by FedEx and UPS, the Purchasing Division is providing a comparison of rates currently charged by the air carriers predominately used by University departments.
As a reminder, the utilization of the procurement card is mandated for all air freight overnight deliveries, both foreign and domestic.

+Note: UPS rates on packages over 1 pound reflect a $3.00 departmental pick-up charge from UPS. This charge will be waived for accounts who establish a regular pick-up or package sent through U.P.S. boxes.
USPS: rates are for packages with delivery within two days. No overnight delivery is guaranteed.
DHL: Packages to rural areas may fall within a two day delivery time frame.
