Student Poster Competition: Students and postdocs are welcome to submit posters for the poster session; however, please note that only students are eligible for the student poster competition. Student posters will be judged by professionals representing a wide range of technical and scientific expertise. Therefore, presentations should provide enough background and contextual information to inform non-experts while also highlighting significant research findings. Presenters should also be prepared to summarize their research and findings to judges in less than five minutes. Posters must be no larger than 4’ tall by 3' wide. Abstracts must be received by Thursday, September 1,2011, at 5:00pm EST for consideration. Poster awards will be announced Tuesday, October 25. Students must be in attendance to participate in the student poster competition. Monetary awards will be presented to each of the biomedical and non-biomedical winners. To submit, please visit the abstract submission page. Please note that there are separate forms to submit abstracts for posters and the oral presentations. If you are submitting an abstract for an oral presentation, please submit your abstract to both forms. If you are not chosen for an oral presentation, this will ensure that your abstract will be included in the poster session. |
