Dr. Bhattacharyya Featured in Enviro-News

(May 2009) - Professor Dibakar Bhattacharyya's work on developing membranes to capture toxic metals such as mercury, lead, cadmium, barium and others from contaminated water was featured in a recent edition of the United States Department of Agriculture's Enviro-News. The article details the genesis of the work during a conversation between Dr. Bhattacharyya and National Risk Management Research Lab associate director Subhas Sikdar and notes that the collaborative process is supported by multiple federal agencies and private industry. Specifically discussed is Dr. Bhattacharrya's work to remove PCBs from water.

Dr. Bhattacharyya is project leader of the UK-SRP Chloro-Organic Degradation Project.
