Xu Presents Seminar

(Oct. 2007) -- Jian Xu, a PhD student in Dr. Dibakar Bhattacharyya's lab who has been supported in part through UK-SRP, presented a seminar entitled Synthesis and Reactivity of Membrane-Supported Bimetallic Nanoparticles for PCB and Trichoroethylene Dechlorination on Wednesday, October 3rd, one day after his final defense.

In his time at the University of Kentucky, Jian has received many awards on his research papers and on presentations. These awards include First Place Winner of Graduate Student Research Paper from AICHE National and three times as winer of Outsanding Paper Presentation awards from the North American Membrane Society.

Jian's research has been published in several publications, including the Journal of Nanoparticle Research, Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Research, Environmental Progress, and an upcoming issue of the Journal of Physical Chemistry B.
