Research Translation Core Partner Spotlight:
Steve Hampson

(April 20, 2007) - Steve Hampson, Assistant Director of the Kentucky Research Consortium for Energy and the Environment (KRCEE), has partnered with the UK-SRP Research Translation Core and program researchers.

In his efforts with KRCEE, Mr. Hampson works with the US Environmental Protection Agency, the US Department of Energy, and state regulators to oversee remedial concerns and to assemble project teams for clean-up, risk assessment, accelerated implementation of remediation, and communication concerns at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant, a National Priority List Superfund site. Mr. Hampson provides a direct link among UK-SRP research and federal and state agencies, expediting the translation of UK-SBRP research findings into the field.
