I attended Wolfe County High School where I was ranked 6th in my graduating class and also graduated with honors. My entire academic experience would have been impossible without the support of the Robinson Scholars Program due to their demand for academic excellence and their numerous workshops including ACT preparation. I am currently planning to major in secondary English education in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky. There are so many reasons why I love this university, but mostly because of the beautiful campus and the sense of unity and school pride that all students, staff, and faculty have! Being a Robinson Scholar means taking advantage of an opportunity that transcends any other. We have been pushed to overcome stereotypes of eastern Kentucky and really strive to become something and achieve our dreams. Robinson Scholars also means going back to eastern Kentucky and sharing the knowledge that I have learned in hopes to inspire a younger generation that will follow in our footsteps.
