Message from Dr. Eli Capilouto

Welcome to the University of Kentucky SACSCOC Reaffirmation site. Since its initial accreditation in 1915, the University of Kentucky has maintained a reputation for high standards in instruction, research, and creative activities and dedication to improving people's lives by contributing service and health care to communities all across Kentucky.

As I begin my tenure as President of the University of Kentucky, I am excited about the significance of the opportunity to have this accreditation process demonstrate our continuing commitment to the improvement of Kentucky by further strengthening the Commonwealth's flagship institution. As a truly collaborative effort, this momentous process involves input from faculty, staff, and students. It is important for the entire campus to approach the reaffirmation process as part of our continuous review of how the University really functions. This ensures our success in fulfilling our mission by improving and enhancing the quality and viability of our programs and services.

This site provides news about our accreditation activities, information regarding various types of resources, answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and documents including the Compliance Certification Report and the Quality Enhancement Plan.

My thanks to those who have already worked so hard to get us prepared and those who will engage in the next steps as we continue with our preparations for the reaffirmation of accreditation for the University of Kentucky.
