University Committee Appointments
Apply to be appointed to one of several University, City, or student committees that President Phelps has the privilege of appointing members to. Some of these include:
- University Appeals Board
- Residency Review Committee
- Parking Violation Appeals Committee
These are just a few great ways to have your voice heard. Throughout the year there will be an updated list of appointment opportunities in our office and on the web.
Freshman Leadership Development Program
The goals of the Leadership Development Program are to:
• Build future leaders for the University of Kentucky
• Facilitate freshman to learn about the UK Student Government Association
• Allow opportunities for freshman to work with members of various campus
organizations
• Give students a chance to gain valuable leadership skills to use throughout their time at UK
• Develop a group of students that the administration of the University can look to as a representative population of UK freshman
• Assist a transition into the University through a mentor/mentee system where
LDP members are paired with older SGA members
•Help freshman to get involved from the moment they set foot on campus
Come apply to the Freshman Leadership Development Program and show off your true potential with SGA! Applications for the Freshman Leadership Development Program are due on September 5th.
SG EXECUTIVE CABINET POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Student Government Executive Cabinet positions are open and available for the 2007-2008 school year. You can become part of the University Relations, Campus Outreach, College-Town, Campus Diversity, Greek Affairs, or Campus Violence Cabinets. Cabinet descriptions are available on the Student Government website, or stop by the Student Government office for more information.
Cabinet applications are available in the Student Government office, located in room 120 of the Student Center and are due by 4:30 p.m. on September 24, 2007.
