Real Property Division housing is owned by
the University of Kentucky.
The property is purchased, in the University Land-Use Area, for future
development and may be designated for student housing until needed for
expansion.
The Real Property Division leases and maintains approximately fifty-two
(52) single and/or multi-unit facilities. Housing is available to all
full-time University of Kentucky and Lexington Community College students.
All units are within walking distance of the main campus, Chandler Medical
Center and Lexington Community College. The properties are unfurnished
except for kitchen range and refrigerator.Utilities are not included
in the
monthly rent, with the exception of one or two locations. NO PETS are
allowed. The lease is month to month and requires a written thirty (30)
day
notice to vacate, by either party. Most rentals provide on site parking,
for tenants only, which is at a premium around the campus area.
Tenants are expected to maintain the terms of the rental agreement
and the
regulations stated in the Code of Student Conduct: Rules, Procedures,
Right
and Responsibilities.
The University of Kentucky, Real Property Division has available for
lease two, three and four bedroom houses.
These properties are available to full-time University of Kentucky and
Lexington Community College students.
University staff and faculty may also apply for housing with the understanding
that UK students have priority.
Some restrictions as to eligibility and period of lease will apply to
all faculty and staff.
All housing is within walking distance of campus, unfurnished except
for kitchen range and refrigerator, and
tenant must pay all utilities. A security deposit is required equal
to one months rent. The lease is month to
month, automatic renewal, with a thirty (30) day written notice to vacate
by either party. All buildings on the campus of the University of Kentucky are smoke free. Smoking is also prohibited in our rental units. NO PETS
ALLOWED.
