1. Child Trauma
One fellowship ($16,000 plus tuition and health insurance) will be under the direction of the Center on Trauma and Children Applicants should be interested in evidence-based interventions to assist with the problems of child abuse and neglect at the individual and family level. This is a competitive fellowship and provides rich opportunities for research, publication and grant-writing, as well as clinical work. 2. Mental Retardation/Disability/Aging & Other
A second fellowship ($16,000 plus tuition and health insurance) is funded in part by Bill Beaven of Eidetik, Inc. (a specialty healthcare management company for the development and management of Intermediate Care Facilities - Mental Retardation (ICF-MR) and waiver programs). Applicants for this competitive fellowship with an interest in developmental disabilities or aging will be given special consideration. However, applicants who identify a different research interest will also be considered. It might be useful to review the areas where the College faculty are researching and writing and to contact individual faculty about their current research projects and the possibility of working with them. If you are applying for either of these fellowships, please indicate in your application materials (e.g., cover letter) which one. If you have identified a specific faculty member’s research as an area where you would like to work, please indicate the faculty member as well along with a brief description of how you might use the fellowship to further research in the area. These fellowships are for full-time students; part-time students do not qualify. The assumption is that you will work 20 hours a week in connection with the fellowship and will not be employed elsewhere.
