Flo Lankster has been the coordinator for the School Social Work Preparation Program since 2002. She received her BA in Sociology and German with secondary teaching certification from Union College, Barbourville, KY in 1972. She earned the MSW from the University of Kentucky in 1978. Before assuming her current position Ms. Lankster was employed eight years in the area of child welfare and twenty years as a school social worker.

In her current position Ms. Lankster recruits, advises and assists students in acquiring their school social work certification. In addition she promotes the development of school social work positions in districts around the state. Ms. Lankster also teaches the school social work practicum seminar. She serves on the KY School Social Work Association Board, the Midwest School Social Work Council and is Vice President of the School Social Work Association of America. She has presented at many state and regional conferences on school social work topics.
