The College of Social Work’s Field Education program is designed to prepare professional social workers who are competent to improve the quality of lives of individuals and to provide leadership in the areas of social justice and community development. This goal is achieved by placing students in various agencies under the supervision of experienced social workers.
Field placement agencies provide students with the opportunity to conduct research relevant to their emerging skills. Field education helps students develop a professional identity and can lead to employment in the social service community.
