Parents, just because your sons and daughters are leaving you at home doesn't mean they won't be talking to you when times are tough. Learn how to see the warning signs of suicide in your college student, ask the right questions, and make good referrals so students get the help they need.

QPR GATEKEEPER TRAINING
…Ask a Question, Save a Life…
As part of the campus-wide effort to promote awareness of suicide and suicide prevention. UK offers a free Gatekeeper training for members of the campus community, called QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer). QPR is a one-hour training session designed to help participants to recognize the warning signs of suicide and depression in peers, family members and friends. The training is available by request.
Since October 2008, over 1160 people have been trained on UK’s campus, including 1102 students and 73 faculty & staff.
