Research in the College

The College of Social Work advances social work research through projects which are community-based, multidisciplinary, and translational. These investigations are developed and carried out through the College’s research centers, as well as by individual faculty. Research is supported by external sponsors including local, state, and federal governments as well as by private sponsors such as state, national, and international foundations.

A unique feature of the College’s research agenda is its close collaboration with the UK Center for Clinical & Translational Science. This relationship has highlighted the College’s robust approaches to assessment, intervention, and program evaluation research as part of the University’s response to the NIH roadmap and translational science priorities.
