Emerging Leadership Institute

Each semester 25 emerging leaders from the freshman and sophomore classes are selected to participate in a 3-credit hour pass/fail class geared toward developing their leadership skills and campus involvement. The UK Emerging Leader Institute is designed to allow students the opportunity to analyze and develop their leadership potential while enhancing their abilities in the areas of critical and creative thinking strategies, communication, understanding ethical decision making, goal setting, and cultural diversity. Experiential Education

Peer Education Leaders
There are several opportunities for peer education including: Peer Health Advocates through SHAC ; Health Alcohol Education Program presenters through the Dean of Students Office; Academic Outreach Peer Presenters through the Learning Skills Program; Peer Mentors through the Office of Minority Affairs; and peer tutoring through SGA and the CATS program. Resident Advisors (RA)

Student Government Association (SGA)

Summer Advising Conference Student Assistants
Students are selected and receive training to be summer advising conference workers. Students
