BCTC Students

Note to BCTC Students: Beginning with the fall semester of 2006‚ BCTC students are no longer automatically eligible for participation in UK Intramural activities and other Campus Recreation programs.

• To become eligible‚ BCTC students must pay the Recreation Fee.
• The Recreation Fee can be paid by eligible BCTC students at www.uky.edu/UK-eStore along with fees for other UK programs.
• For information about paying the Recreation Fee‚ becoming eligible for Campus Recreation programs and joining the Campus Rec programs‚ please call the Campus Recreation main office at (859) 257–3928 or stop by Monday through Friday between 7am and 6pm to the main office located in the Johnson Center.

General Information

• All participants must sign an Intramural Waiver Form.
• 30 minute check–in period will begin at 3:30pm.
• First Pull will start at 4:00pm!

Matches/Tournament

• Rosters are limited to 15 members.
• One coach will be permitted in the ring for matches for each team. The coach does not have to be a roster member.
• A match teams shall consist of a maximum of eleven (11) members with the minimum being eight (8) to avoid a forfeit.
• Teams may not substitute players during the match except in the case of an injury replacement. The replaced‚ injured participant‚ however‚ is then ineligible for further competition and may not return to the tournament.
• Two of three tugs constitute a match.
• The tournament shall be single elimination.
• A coin toss will determine the choice of sides for the first and third pulls.
• For the second pull‚ teams will switch sides.
• Dropping the rope will result in a disqualification from the tournament and forfeiture of all points earned in the tournament.

Equipment

• Gloves may be worn.
• Athletic footwear must be worn. No bare feet.
• No metal cleats‚ sandals or work boots will be permitted.

• The rope may not be wrapped around any body part.
• No articles may be wrapped around the rope.
• Anything deemed unsafe by tournament officials will be disallowed.
