General Information

• Valid UK or BCTC student and faculty/staff IDs required to participate in Intramural events.
• Turkey trot race will be held the Thursday before the Thanksgiving holiday break.
• Race time is forfeit time. There will be a designated check–in period‚ starting by 3:30pm. The Race will then begin promptly at 4 pm. Anyone not signed up in his/her proper division will not be permitted to race.

The Turkey Trot

• No Rosters are due. Runners need only sign up in their appropriate division at the UK Arboretum on race day during the check–in period. Check–in will start no later than 3:30 pm.
• All runners must have a UK Intramural Race Tag to place.
• The Turkey Trot is a 5K and approximately 3.1 miles in length.
• The race will be held at the UK Arboretum located on the southern end of the UK campus beyond Commonwealth Stadium and across Alumni Drive.
• The 3.1 mile course consists of more than one lap around the Arboretum with parts including both the paved loop and the non–paved paths in the woods. Participants will begin near the far western curve below the water tower. The course will cross the Arboretum driveway twice‚ the first time being just after the start of the race and the second being near the end. The race will end on a runners second pass of the Arboretum picnic area. This is the same finish area as in pervious years.
• Divisions for competition will include Fraternity‚ Sorority‚ Independent Men and Women‚ Faculty/Staff Men and Women and Resident Hall Men and Women as needed.
