The Study

If you’re not already aware of the services offered to students by Academic Enhancement in The Study‚ stop by their location on the 3rd floor of the Complex Commons building (right above Commons Market) in order to take advantage of peer tutoring‚ academic consultation services (both of which are free)‚ and Study Smarter Seminars. Peer tutoring in a wide variety of subjects is offered Monday through Thursday 3-10 pm as well as Sunday from 6-10 pm. Academic consultations enable you to meet one-on-one with a learning specialist to discuss effective study strategies based on your individual academic strengths and weaknesses. Unlike tutoring‚ consultations do require an appointment (at least 24 hours in advance); look for the link under “Announcements” on the web site. Study Smarter seminars are intensive‚ non-credit earning classes offered in several evening sessions each semester. The total cost is $25‚ which includes a formal learning assessment‚ four hours of instruction‚ and all course materials‚ which students may keep and use as a resource throughout the semester.
