K Week is UK's fall welcome week for new students and is an opportunity for the entire University community to celebrate the start of a new school year.
- Are you a local Lexington business looking to get the word out about your services?
- Do you offer services specifically geared toward college students?
- Are you interested in helping new students feel comfortable in their new home?
- Are you a local restaurant that would like us to drive lunch and/or dinner traffic your way?
- Would you like to help us reward over 400+ student volunteers?
If you answered "YES!" to any of these questions, then we have several great opportunities just for you!
- K Week's UK Lex-Mart
Interested in interacting with students to spread the word about your services? For a small fee of $100 or a donated prize valued at $150 you can participate in UK Lex-Mart, K Week's own community vendor fair. This year UK Lex-Mart will take place Sunday, August 21st from 3PM - 5PM. You'll gain access to a 10'x10' area, a 6' table, and 2 chairs in the Botanical Gardens near the UK Student Center where you can mingle with students and pass out giveaways, prizes, and information about your business. To reserve your space, please review the UK Lex-Mart guidelines and submit your application and payment no later than Friday, August 5, 2011.

- Discounts for K Team Lunch and Dinner
At the times listed below, our freshmen class of over 4,000 students will be sharing meals in groups of 10-15 students. Campus dining cannot handle this large influx and many students will eat off campus. Any restaurant within walking distance of UK's campus is welcome to recruit these students with a discount or deal. The K Week Office will promote off-campus restaurants that offer promotional pricing for these meals in our student schedule. Discounts may be extended only during these mealtimes and don't have to be advertised.

The K Week office has over 400 student leaders that help facilitate the week and we are constantly looking for ways to reward students. Any coupons or promotional items donated by community businesses will be handed out to students as prizes in August.
