Bringing Your Bike to Campus?

UK Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) requires all bikes on campus to be registered. The free bicycle registration program will help:

  • Reduce bike thefts and help you recover your bike if it is stolen.
  • Provide valuable data about bike use on campus.
  • Reduce costs to cyclists by allowing PTS to contact owners of improperly parked bikes as an alternative to impoundment.
  • Assist us in getting information out to UK cyclists.

There are several ways to apply for a bicycle permit:

  • Online at www.uky.edu/Parking.
  • In person at our office locations or at a scheduled registration event.
  • By mail.

PTS is partnering with The Wildcat Wheels Bicycle Library to promote the benefits of the bike registration program and to make cycling on campus a positive experience for everyone. The first 1,000 people to register AND complete an online bicycle education survey will receive a free LED bike light and will be registered to win a fully equipped commuter bicycle!
