Information for Transfer Students
Welcome to your new home at the University of Kentucky. By now you know all about being a college student, but let us teach you about being a Wildcat! Transfer students are encouraged to take advantage of all that K Week has to offer. Check the full K Week schedule of events online for details about the events that you may be interested in attending. You will also receive a copy of the schedule when you arrive on campus; students living in University housing will receive one when they check in at their residence halls, and students living off-campus can receive one by checking in on Friday, August 19th between 7:30PM and 8PM at Johnson Center Fields.
Interested in Joining a K Team?
All transfer students have the opportunity to join a K Team, led by a member of the K Crew. If you choose to join a K Team, you will be placed in a small group with other transfer students who are also new to UK. You will get to participate in K Week events together as a new group of friends, and your K Crew leader will serve as a resource for you not only during K Week, but also throughout your entire first year on campus.
If you would like to be placed in a K Team be sure to check in before the K Week Kick-off from 7:30 PM to 8PM on the Johnson Center Fields. The K Week Kick-off will start at 8PM and you'll meet your K Team and K Crew leader then.
