Jared Tippets joined the Office of New Student and Parent Programs in his current role in 2006. As the director of the office he co-directs UK 101, works with K Week and the K Crew, and assists with the Common Reading Experience, the K Book, and the UK Parent Association. Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah he earned his bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems from Utah State University. He then received his master's degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is happily married and is the proud father of three very active little boys. In his free time he enjoys golfing, waterskiing, playing the guitar, and spending time with family and friends.
Nancy Stephens

In her role as Assistant Director of New Student and Parent Programs, Nancy Stephens assists with K Week and the K Crew, coordinates the UK Parent Association, and advises the K Book Ambassadors. Nancy is a graduate of Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. She received a master's degree in higher education from UK. Nancy and her husband enjoy traveling, cheering on the Cats, and spending time with family and friends. They are expecting their first child in May 2009, a son who can look forward to entering UK in the fall of 2027.
Michelle Ashcraft

Michelle Ashcraft came to the University of Kentucky in 2009. As an assistant director for the Office of New Student and Parent Programs, she coordinates the Common Reading Experience. She also coordinates web-based outreach to new students and parents, works with K Week and the K Crew, and assists with UK 101. Born and raised in Seymour, Indiana, she earned her bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership &anol Supervision at Purdue University before pursuing her master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina. Outside of work she most enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog; but her hobbies also include traveling, going to concerts, volunteering, and painting.
Debbie Calvert

Debbie has been the Administrative Support Associate for the New Student and Parent Program office since April 2001. Debbie is happily married to her husband of 21 years and the proud mom of three wonderful kids. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and attending church. Whenever possible, she loves vacationing at the beach with her family.
