How can my son or daughter learn about money management, including avoiding credit card debt?
The University of Kentucky strives to educate our
students about responsible money management. There is a money management session offered during Kentucky Welcome for new students and their families. The Parent Association's Insider's Guide addresses
the issue as well. Many sections of UK 101, the first-year orientation course, include a class session on credit card debt. The College of Agriculture offers a course (FAM 251, Personal and Family
Finances) that covers these issues. Students and families are encouraged to take advantage of these available resources.
