Family Weekend

The University of Kentucky cordially invites you and your family to attend Family Weekend, October 4-6, 2013. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to visit campus and get to be part of your student's UK experience for a weekend! We know you are looking forward to spending time with your son or daughter, so we have put together a flexible schedule of events that allows ample time for your family to take part in the activities that interest you. These events reflect the wide variety of activities and resources that are available to your student throughout the year as well as some special opportunities just for Family Weekend participants.

During Family Weekend, you can do everything from cheering on the Wildcats to working out at the Johnson Student Recreation Center. You can visit numerous campus offices and tour downtown Lexington. You can enjoy an intimate Sunday brunch at historic Spindletop Hall. Family Weekend includes something for everyone!

One of your first stops when you arrive on campus on October 4 should be Family Weekend Check-in. Make plans to pick up the official Family Weekend Guide, an indispensible go-to guide for the weekend. You'll also want to check out the resource fair where you'll have a chance to learn more about offices and organizations around the University. Learn more about the history of UK by viewing treasures from University Archives. Enjoy a variety of desserts, giveaways, and the chance to learn more about UK and Lexington!

When you are visiting Lexington, we encourage you to stop by the UK Visitor Center located in the Main Building and the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau to learn more about campus and Lexington. We hope you enjoy your visit!
