I am so happy to be the Eco-Rep Coordinator this year! I was the Eco-Rep for New North last year and thought it was a wonderful experience. This being only our second year doing the program, I am excited to see how it continues to grow and develop. It is a great way for students to learn how to lead more sustainable lifestyles and become more aware of the issues our planet is facing today. It also educates students about issues at a more local level so that they can see the more direct implications of our decisions.

I want to be an eco-rep because I have always been interested in finding ways of making a small lifestyle change that has a big impact on the environment and I would love to be able to share what I've learned with others. I believe that being aware makes it much more difficult to ignore the issue, so I want to inform others and the desire to help will naturally follow.

I am thrilled to be an Eco-Rep for the 2009-2010 school year. I would like to help in sustaining our environment so children in the future can have the same opportunities to enjoy nature we have now. I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, golf, and just being outside in general. Coming from a small town nature was always just beyond my back door and I want everyone to be able to enjoy the feeling of lsitting beneath the trees and listening to the wind on a soft summer day for years to come.

I really want to sustain the environment, because my favorite memories are of my dad taking me camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities and I want future generations to have similar childhood memories.

I am excited to be an Eco-Rep because I hope to inform others about the environment and ways we are able to save it! The environment is very important to me and I hope I can make others as enthused as I am.
