Living Learning Program Application

Thank you for your interest in the University of Kentucky's Living Learning Program. please review the following information before completing your application:

To apply to live in one of UK's Living Learning Programs, you will need to do the following:

  1. Obtain admission to the University of Kentucky
    uky.edu/Admission
  2. Submit the UK Housing Application once you have been admitted to UK
    uky.edu/housing
  3. Review the Living Learning Program options www.uky.edu/living-learning
  4. Complete and submit the Living Learning Program Application prior to the specified deadline
    • April 1st - new students
    • Feb. 1st - returning students

* LLC Applications are separate from the Housing Application! *

Living Learning Program Application Information

  1. Applications for the 2012-13 Living Learning Program will be available online beginning October 1, 2011.
  2. Incoming students (first semester at UK will be Fall 2012) must apply by April 1, 2012. Returning students (where applicable) must apply by February 1, 2012.
  3. Students can only be extended membership to one Living Learning Program. However, students are invited to apply for more than one program if interested.
  4. The application includes specialized questions for each program. Prospective students only have to complete questions for the programs to which the student wishes to apply (indicated below). Only fully completed applications will be considered for membership offers.
  5. If you are only interested in the SEAM or Global Scholars, you must contact the college in order to apply to the community. SEAM (859) 257-4628, and Global Scholar Program (859) 257-0043. Only students admitted to these programs can apply for the associated community through the college.
  6. Living Learning Program offers will be extended via email (using the email address provided on the application). Students will be given a limited amount of time from the date of the e-mail offer to confirm their membership. LLP participation will be confirmed by the Office of Residence Life, and students will receive their updated Housing assignment shortly thereafter.

LLP Selection Timeline

10/1/11 LLP Application is available for 2012-2013 academic year
2/1/12 Returning Student Application Deadline
4/1/12 Incoming Student Application Deadline
5/7/12 LLP OFFERS will start to be extended to selected applicants.
Students will be notified via email and will be required to confirm by a specified deadline.
6/1/12 FINAL CONFIRMATION of LLP participation.
LLP offers are to be finalized by this date; unconfirmed membership offers will be considered void on this date, and available spaces will be offered to other applicants accordingly.
