University of Kentucky students - part-time or full-time, from any college or major - can join the SHAC. SHAC is an active group of students who work with the campus health program. The Council provides important consumer/student input. SHAC makes recommendations to University Health Service and to the administration of the University relating to the Health Service budget, the Student Group Health Insurance plan, recruitment of Health Service professional staff, health education, and any health related matter of interest to UK students. The Health Service highly values the contributions of SHAC members and encourages active student participation. SHAC also participates in health related campus activities and promotions.

Full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate students at UK are eligible for membership. If you are interested in joining or learning more about the Council, click to download the SHAC Information Sheet or Application Form. For more specific questions or to find out about meeting times, you may contact Fadyia Mohammed, SHAC Sponsor, at 323-5823 ext 280 or by email at fadyia.mohammed@uky.edu.
