The Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center strives to eradicate sexual assault and abuse by promoting individual and community empowerment through education‚ training‚ and therapeutic healing. BRCC also endeavors to provide comprehensive services to all rape victims and rape awareness prevention education to the entire community.
Crisis intervention services are provided via the 24–hour crisis line as well as in individual counseling sessions. Free‚ confidential counseling sessions are available for those who have been raped‚ sexually assaulted‚ or sexually harassed as well as their family and friends. The crisis counselor is able to provide information about the process of trauma and recovery as well as support through the healing process. Additionally‚ the counselor can help the client manage painful thoughts and feelings related to the assault.
Therapy services are available to survivors of rape‚ sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse. The purpose of long term therapy is to re–work the past abuse in order to have healing and diminish its impact on present day functioning.

Bluegrass Domestic Violence Program is committed to providing comprehensive‚ interconnected intervention and prevention services within the Bluegrass Region. The primary goal of this community–driven program is to provide empowerment and support to victims of domestic violence and their dependent children. In addition‚ critical intervention and education programs are provided to the community in an effort to raise awareness about family violence.
The following services are offered to both residential and non–residential victims of domestic violence and are provided free of charge.
