Students: Student Leaders

40 to 1 - Be a Part of the "40" that Steps In and Steps Up!

40:1 is a student organization dedicated to reducing power-base personal violence and building the “40”, a mass of bystanders that communicates intolerance to violence and responds effectively to high risk situations, through student involvement and leadership.

Want to be a student leader in the Green Dot movement? Check out 40 to 1, VIP’s student organization that provides opportunities for student involvement, leadership, and community to further the movement to reduce power based personal violence at UK. Through programming, promotions, and peer education you can gain quality experience in marketing, leadership, and event planning all while working for social change on our campus. Learn more about opportunities with 40 to 1 at our regular meetings and see where you’d like to step in.

Where could your gift take us?

Here’s what we need from you: an energy to engage newcomers at the VIP Center and plug them into our mission-driven space, a commitment to excellence in your work (this cause requires nothing less, as it turns out!), and a slight obsession with ending violence.

Here’s what you’ll get: Using a unique mentoring model of challenge, structure, and support, you will have an unforgettable experience of being a part of the organizational vision of the VIP Center and Green Dot Movement as they are gaining incredible momentum….there’s never been a better time to change the world (& have fun doing it!).
