Our People

Sally Evans, Prevention Program Coordinator

A Western NY native, Sally migrated to Lexington a few years ago for graduate studies.

Often knee deep in wonder at how fortunate she is to work at VIP, Sally’s raison d’etre is the relentless pursuit of ending violence at UK. Her job as Volunteer and Educational Programs Coordinator has her up to her thorax engaging volunteers, student leaders, and interns in the many programs, conferences, and daily projects on deck at the VIP Center. She especially enjoys supporting students on their journey, building culture-changin’ community, playing Frisbee, collecting quotes, obtaining free samples, and road trips. Also a growing singer/songwriter, you may catch Sally bellowing with her guitar or leading a jam session at the VIP Center if you’re not careful.

Favorite food: hemp pancake soup

Favorite hang-out spot: anywhere that includes the dynamic duo of mountains and water

Dreams in process: traveling the world

Favorite Quote:
“As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
-Marianne Williams
