The Division of Student Affairs will again sponsor Super Start during the first two days of classes in August. Information tables, staffed by Student Affairs volunteers, will be located at the Student Center, Whitehall Classroom Building, and the Rose Street/Funkhouser Drive area. The tables will be in operation from 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. daily. As in past years, Super Start provides us with the opportunity to welcome students and assist them by answering their questions and providing directions to classes and other campus locales. The extremely popular bottled water, along with campus maps and parking/bus brochures, will be available at the information tables.
To sign up for a one-hour shift as a Super Start volunteer or to request additional information, please contact me at via email lrcrou1@uky.edu or by phone 257-5216 by August 15. EVERYONE in Student Affairs is eligible to participate. However, supervisors must ensure that offices are staffed as needed, especially during the first week of classes.
We especially appreciate your participation in this program because I realize the opening of the term is very busy for everyone. The Super Start team and I are confident you will find the experience of interacting with colleagues and students to be an energizing way to begin the fall semester!
