MISSION: To provide professional development opportunities for Advertising, PR, and Marketing students, by offering experience, skills, and networking not usually found in the classroom, through the following activities: speakers, workshops,agency tours, and conferences.

Welcome Back for what is sure to be a great spring semester! The UK Ad Club has several events lined up for this semester that will help you on your quest to network andlearn more about your respective field.

Upcoming Meetings

On Tuesday January 22nd, Ad Club welcomes Beverly Adkins of Lynn Imaging on Printing. The meeting will begin at 8pm in the Niles Gallery of the Fine Arts Library.

Wednesday, February 6th @ 8 pm in the Niles Gallery of the Fine Art's Library-- Portfolio and Resume Review by Professionals in the industry.

Learn how to make prfessional Business Cards! Bill Powell of the Serif Group will lead a lab on how to create snazzy, professional business cards to help you sell yourself. November 14th at 8pm in the Fine Arts Mac Lab (004A) in the basement. Don't have a mac account? Arrive 20 mins early and a lab consultant will help you create one. AWNY CONFERENCE October 26th-27th in New York City

October 10th at 8pm we will be joined by UK ISC alumni who are now working in their related field. Learn about job opportunities and get advice on how to break into the business. Location: Student Center Room 359

Wednesday September 12th we will be welcoming David Wilham of Bisig Impact Group as our guest speaker. As always, there will be a raffle and food. If you are interested in going on the New York trip next month please be in attendance as we will be discussing accomodations. Location: Student Center Room 359 at 7pm.

Join us for our tailgaiting party Saturday Sept. 8th at 2pm prior to the UK football game against Kent State. We will be located between the tennis courts and BCTCS. Come out and play cornhole and enjoy some tasty burgers. See you there.

August 29th at 7pm. Our guest speaker will be Lexington Ad Club President Charlotte Caldwell. There will be free food and a raffle for those who attend. Come out and meet fellow students and learn what we have planned for the year! Student Center room 359.

To join Ad Club simply download the application form or pick one up at any of our meetings. Fall membership is $50. Checks can be make out to the AAF (American Advertising Federation). Applications are available in a posted manilla envelope beside our bulletin board (across from the advising office in Grehan.)
