Resolution Against the PATRIOT Act
During the Spring Semester, the UK ACLU is working to pass a Resolution against the PATRIOT Act. The PATRIOT Act was passed by congress shortly after September 11th and includes many violations to our civil liberties. Hundreds of local governing bodies (including 3 states) have passed Resolutions asking the federal government to repeal the portions of the Patriot Act that jeopardize our Constitutional freedoms.
