ABOUT US
AIAS
    It shall be the purpose of this organization to promote excellence in architecture education, training and practice; foster an appreciation of architecture and related disciplines; enrich communities in a spirit of collaboration; organize architecture students and combine their efforts to advance the art and science of architecture.

OUR CHAPTER

    AIAS-UK is committed to serve as a voice for architecture students; through membership to this organization, opportunities exist for students to voice concerns and suggestions to faculty and administrators within the university, and to the community at large. Participation in a variety of volunteer and fundraising events allows students to meet their peers and engage in architecture related activities outside of the classroom. AIAS is represented on the national boards of the:
American Institute of Architects AIA
Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture ACSA
National Architectural Accrediting Board NAAB
Intern Development Program Coordinating Committee IDP

Our chapter was renewed as an active chapter on the national level and as a student organization on the University of Kentucky's campus back in the fall of 2004. Just one highlight: In the Spring of 2006 we held the Midwest Quad Conference.
