The BCM is a place for students to connect. Our primary goal is for you to connect to God through His son, Jesus Christ. We also are a place for you to connect with other students and with area churches.

Ways to connect include our weekly worship service, freshmen focus, discipleship groups, fellowships, mission trips, community projects, and many other activities. We welcome all students regardless of faith background to fellowship with us. We exist for you. Come by and meet us.

The BCM is funded by local Kentucky Baptists, who express their care for you through their tithes and offerings.

College is fun, work, hardships, happiness, independence, basketball games, and tests. But at the core of every successful collegiate experience are deep and meaningful relationships. The purpose of the BCM is to connect people with these deep and meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime.

First and foremost is the opportunity to experience a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. We want to help you along on this journey. It doesn’t matter what background you come from. We believe a relationship with Jesus Christ is the reason that you exist. We want to help you know Him more.

We also exist to help students to connect with relationships with each other. This is a great place to establish some life long friends. Friends to play intramurals, worship, cry, laugh, and grow closer to God with. Everyone is welcome here.

Finally, we exist to help students connect in relationships with local churches. We are the extension of the church on the campus. It is our desire not to be your local church, but to help students connect with a local church. We desire that when you graduate from here you will be active and leaders for the church of tomorrow.

I am here to assist you on this journey of college. Please know that I care and that I desire to help in any way possible. It is my prayer that you will look back on your college experience and see all of the relationships you were blessed with.

May we walk with Him,
Daniel Berry

In Matthew 7, Jesus describes two different kinds of foundations: one made of rock, the other made of sand. Christ’s teaching here shows us that no matter how big, strong, and fancy the house is, the foundation is what keeps it standing. As believers in Jesus Christ, we must realize that our foundation is God and God alone. Our one and only desire should be to glorify Him in everything we do (Romans 12:1). Everything else is secondary to our personal relationship with our triune God: The Father, Son, and Spirit.

As each of us place our focus on our one true God, believers in Christ are called to join together as the Body of Christ. In 1 Corinthians 12, the apostle Paul explains to us that each part of the Body is equally significant. Scripture calls us to unite as one solid force, each of us doing our own part. This is the way God wants to use us to glorify Him and further His kingdom.

As one body, united in Christ alone, we are called by God to engage the world around us. We are commissioned by Jesus Christ to take His message of love, forgiveness, and sanctification to all the regions of the earth.

At the UK BCM, we try our best to stay completely focused on God, uniting under Him as one Body, so that we may engage the world around us through the Gospel of Christ. The time for imaginative talk is over. We must take action.

“Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:18
