Manchester's Changing Faces: This is the confluence of the UK storm sewer and Town Branch Creek. Unusual occurences are short lived and luck plays a large part in being in the right place at the right time. We have gotten lucky at this location and have seen many faces of Manchester.(900 K)

The Mantis Experiment: A REALTIME VIDEO... Wade and Robert like playing with 'bugs'. As fall set in, the free supply of feeder insects diminished. Rob needed a new source of food for his pet praying mantis. They had a few minnows left over from summer sampling and decided to plac one with the mantis. Sure enough the insect ate the minnow. Wade and Robert questioned whether or not the mantis would attempt to 'fish' the minnow from a body of water. Here is the result of that experiment.(2.3 Mb) |

Cadillac Calf is concerned that animal wastes may effect stream water quality near where he lives. Cadillac Calf is a talking calf video taped at a local stockyard by Robert Boak and Veronica Wall. Salvage automobiles, if not managed properly, can mean more than the death of machinery to the environment. Much of the junkyard video was shot from a railroad tressel that overlooks the Manchester Street sampling site.(957 K) |
