About Cosmo

Cosmopolitan Club or affectionately known as "Cosmo" was established at the University of Kentucky in 1963. Cosmo has been promoting intercultural friendship and learning for the last 40 years bringing together students from all over the world through various activities such as potluck dinners, games, picnics, parties, white water rafting, hiking trips and other out of town trips. Countries represented in Cosmo: USA, Japan, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Spain, Poland, Germany, Egypt, Hong Kong, China, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, South Korea, Morocco, France and Russia. Anyone can become a Cosmo member by paying $5 annually. The fees are invested into events and thus to the benefit of all members!

The Executive Committee(the "EXCO") is elected by the Cosmo members toward the end of each Spring semester to coordinate activities and oversee Club business. Funding for the Cosmo comes from membership fees, special events and annual fundraisers such as the European Pastry Cafe. EXCO members meet frequently to plan and to organize events. We are looking forward to seeing you on one or more of our fun activities!
