Concerts

The UK Dance Ensemble presents two concerts each year, one in each the Spring and Fall semesters in the Singletary Center for the Arts on UK's campus. On average, there are 8 to 12 pieces shown each semester, most of which are student-choreographed. Members are given the opportunity to submit their own choreography to the concerts and audition the other members for their piece. In recent years we have had the opportunity to have guest choreographers create pieces for our group.

The days before the concerts are busy for ensemble members, consisting of technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and spacing rehearsals. Up until the last minute before the concerts, members are stretching and mentally rehearsing for the big show.
