Our Linnaean Team is a vital student activity. The Linnaean Team is a group of five individuals (four + one alternate) who are entomologists with quick thumbs, lots of basic information regarding entomology, and a love for entomological trivia. The team competes at both a regional level at North Central Branch meetings, and at a national level at the annual Entomological Society of America meetings. In the years since the conception of the Linnaean games (in 1979), a University of Kentucky team has won 4 times at the branch level. If a team wins at the branch level, it competes at the Entomological Society of America's national meeting. Although we have yet to win a national title, we have high hopes for 1997. We've held ourselves back in the past due to our desire not to detract from our BASKETBALL team's fame!
The 1996-97 team members are Ted Cottrell, Betty Kreuger, Craig Keathley, Brian Kunkel, and Heidi Melcher.
