Why
should I be a sponsor for the UK Swing Dance Club?
The
UK Swing Dance Club is one of the largest student organizations on campus.
Please note that participation
in Club activities is open to ALL, not just UK students.
The Club conducts membership
recruitment throughout the year to attract both UK students and non-UK students in the
Lexington/central
Kentucky area. Membership in the Club is
split between non-students/students at about 50/50%.
Non-student members in the Club include a wide range of ages,
from
teenagers to senior citizens. One thing all participants in UK Swing
Dance Club activities have in common: we like to dance to that great swing
music!
How
does the UK Swing Dance Club use sponsorship money?
For each Fall and
Spring semester, the Club is allowed to use the UK Student Center Grand Ballroom|
for a
dance. The Club
likes to have live music at these
dances. Sponsorship monies are primarily used to help defray the cost of booking live bands for
these dances. For info on
previous dances with live music, click
here.
How
would a sponsorship benefit me or my company/organization?
In return
for your sponsorship, the Club would list your company/organization on its
marketing
products relating to the dances, to include the UK Swing Dance Club
web site, flyers, etc.
In addition, your company would be recognized at the Club's Fall and Spring
Semester dances
at the UK Student Center Grand Ballroom. In
addition, the Club would also welcome employees from your company/organization to
attend all its dances and activities.
Who do I contact if I am interested in being a sponsor?
Contact Mike
Richardson at 859/323-3633; Email: mrich2@email.uky.edu.
