On Campus Housing
Cooperstown
These efficiencies and one bedroom apartments are located 1/2 mile from main campus. This complex is centrally heated and has wall-to-wall carpeting in the living room and dining area. Venetian blinds are provided on all windows. Each building has a laundry facility. Playground equipment and plenty of lawn space are also available.
Commonwealth Village
These single graduate student efficiencies and one bedroom apartments are located slightly over 1/2 mile from main campus. This complex is centrally heated and air-conditioned with wall-to-wall carpeting and venetian blinds. Laundry facilities are also available.
468 Rose Lane
Located on a residential street adjacent to campus, these efficiencies are centrally heated and air-conditioned. They have wall-to-wall carpeting and venetian blinds. Only single graduate students reside here.
Shawneetown
These efficiencies, one and two bedroom apartments are located one mile from the main campus. These apartments are centrally heated. Some buildings are air-conditioned. They have wall-to-wall carpeting in the living room and venetian blinds. Each building has a laundry facility. Three playgrounds and lawn space surround the complex.
Greg Page Stadium View Apartments
One mile from the main campus, these two bedroom apartments are centrally heated and air-conditioned. They have vertical or venetian blinds and wall-to-wall carpeting. These apartments are more spacious than their counterparts on campus. A central laundry facility is available.
404 Linden Walk
Located on a residential street adjacent to campus, these efficiencies are centrally heated, air-conditioned and have wall-to-wall carpeting. These apartments are for Undergraduate International Students and must be assigned by UK Office of International Affairs.
Definitions
Efficiency: A one-room apartment, with living room and bedroom combined, small kitchen, full bath. Maximum family occupancy is 3
persons.
One Bedroom Apartment: Living room with a dining area, one bedroom, kitchen and bath. Maximum family occupancy is 4 persons.
Two Bedroom Apartment: Living room with a dining area, two bedrooms, kitchen and bath. Maximum family occupancy is 6 persons.
You will be able to connect your personal computer to the Internet and campus network services from your apartment. This new connection includes
electronic mail, academic computing systems and on-line library databases. In addition, you will have access to basic deluxe cable which includes 65 channels. All of this is included in your housing contract.

Please note that
1. Rent includes: Electricity, heat, air-conditioning (where applicable), water, cable and network connectivity. Telephone service is NOT
included in
the rates.
2. All Graduate and Family Housing Apartments are furnished. Individual pieces of furniture cannot be removed. All furniture may be removed upon request prior to move-in, with the exception of 404 Linden Walk and the platform beds in the Commonwealth Village efficiencies. Furnishings DO NOT include: pillows, pillow cases, bed sheets, blankets, towels and kitchen utensils.
You will need to come to the Cooperstown Housing Office, 700 Woodland Avenue Building C, to pick up your keys and get checked into your apartment. If you arrive after 4:00 p.m., our campus police station should be your first stop. The station is located on the corner of Rose Street and Euclid Avenue. The number is (859) 257-1616. Your apartment assignment, Resident Manager contact, map, and the key to your apartment will be there for you. You must show a picture ID to pick up your key. Should you have any problems or questions once you are in your room, please call the Resident Manager. In case of a maintenance issue please call the 24-hour control room at (859) 257-1591. You are expected to come into the Cooperstown Apartment Housing office the next business day to complete all move-in paper work and make payment.
Telephone
Telephones are provided in the apartments. However, you must contact Wildcat Calling to activate line service. They are located in the Student Center. The office number is (859) 257-1331. You will need to take a copy of your housing agreement with you to Wildcat Calling to get the phone connected. The connection fee is $30 and the monthly rate is $31 (monthly rate will be prorated if less than a full month). Rates subject to change by Wildcat Calling.
Linen
Linens are provided for guests who request them. If you need a linen packet please notify the Housing office prior to your arrival. The price of the linen packet is $5.00. The packet contains 2 flat sheets, 1 blanket, 1 pillow, 1 pillowcase, 3 towels, 2 washcloths, 1 bar of soap, and 1 roll of toilet paper. You are responsible for laundering during your stay. When you leave your room for the last time, place all university linen at the end of the bed. Rates subject to change by University Housing.
Laundry
Laundry facilities are located in each complex. Cooperstown, Shawneetown and Commonwealth Village are on a cash card system, and the price is $0.60 to $0.75 per load for washers, and $0.60 per load for dryers. You can borrow a guest laundry card from the Cooperstown office. You will need to place money on the card and keep replenishing it as needed. You can add value to your card 24 hours a day at the machine in front of the Cooperstown Housing Office or the machine located in the Shawneetown building D Laundry area or Commonwealth Village Laundry building. You must return the card with your keys on the day you leave. There will be no refunds given on the card. If you do not return your card, $3.00 will be charged to your account or University department you were affiliated will. Greg Page guests are on a different laundry system. They will need to obtain a plus account card from Food Storage, (859) 257-6185, located next to Donovan Hall. The price of the card is $1.00. You will need to place money on the card and keep replenishing it at Food Storage. Rates are subject to change by University Housing.
