| The estimated year 2000 population of Lexington is about 2.7 lakhs. Lexington, KY epitomizes the elegance of the thoroughbred industry and all that is good about southern culture. As you drive into the city you will see miles of fences that surround the horse farms. In the spring young foals are running along side their mothers in fields of bluegrass. In Lexington the horse is king and the farms are their palaces. |

Lexington is the home of Keeneland, a track visited by royalty which has an atmosphere that allows all that attend to feel like royalty themselves. Lexington also honors the horse with a park and museum dedicated to horses of all types. |

Many sites throughout the city evidence the regard for horses. As you enter downtown Lexington you will see Thoroughbred Park with its beautiful red roses and bronze statues of horses. |
