Guesses cost $0.50, with a limit of ONE per person. Expected Sales: 150-200 Guesses Projected Gross Income: $75 to $100 Costs: Prize $20 Jar Free Candy $5 to $7 Notebook $2 Total <$30 Projected Net Income: $45 to $70 Manpower Needed: One or more Brothers before and after all meetings. Must be a small number of Brothers involved to assist customers. Special Concerns, Comments: This can be done MULTIPLE times. Costs would go up, according to cost of gift certificates and new candy. Projection for Block Meetings: Expected Sales: 20 to 30 Guesses Projected Gross Income: $10 to $15 Prize: Donated Gift Certificate Candy: $2 to $4 (smaller jar) Notebook: Donated Total: <$4 Projected Net: >$6 Done three times, we would nearly make the operating money for the Convention sale. This would drive the net profit to between $70 and $100. Passes 9-0-1 April's Fool-O-Grams: Description: Sell small packages of candy or some other appropriate item, along with a personal note from the sender, for $3 each or two for $5. Purchasing can be done at block meetings through Saturday of Convention. All packages purchased at Block Meetings would be handed out on Saturday; all those purchased at Convention, on Sunday. A small group to purchase packages. A "get-together" to assemble packages before convention. Small group prepared to assemble AT convention, in case of good sales. 5 or more Brothers to deliver packages at Convention. Special Concerns, Comments: It is imperative that we have someone selling at Blocks, so we can have enough money to pay for supplies. We may also need to request a table outside the door of the meeting room at Convention to increase visibility. Passes 10-0-0 Disposable Camera Sales: Description: Sell disposable cameras to those who have forgotten theirs, or just need one at $. Expected Sales: 40 to 50 cameras Projected Gross Income: $320 to $400 Costs: $200 ($4 per camera) Projected Net Income: $120 to $200 Manpower Needs: Two or three Brothers to head the sales. Special Concerns, Comments: We need to get a deal with either Meijer or Wal-Mart. Cost at Meijer is $5.77 (27 exposures), Wal-Mart $5.96 (similar exposures). This is a high risk project. If we do not sell even 20 cameras, we'll be hurting. SO, as part of the deal, it would be wise to ask for a "return" deal. Motion to recommit; passes without objection.
