Stevenson Passes by acclamation New: Motion for anti-sweatshop resolution: WHEREAS sweatshops represent a deplorable condition, and WHEREAS for more than 15 months the University of Kentucky chapter of United Students Against Sweatshops has campaigned against the University of Kentucky's role in perpetuating sweatshops, and WHEREAS President Charles Wethington has refused to meet with student leaders to discuss this issue, and WHEREAS the University of Kentucky administration exists to serve the needs and interests of UK students, and WHEREAS this is an issue about which every student and student organization of the University of Kentucky, every alumnus of the University of Kentucky, and every resident of the Commonwealth of Kentucky should be informed and concerned, BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that we, the Theta Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Service Fraternity encourage the University of Kentucky administration to to consider the concerns of the United Students Against Sweatshops.
