PATTERSON HALL

Women first enrolled at U.K. in 1880. In 1888, Belle Clement Gunn became the first woman awarded a degree. Women students finally obtained campus housing in1904, when this hall opened. Built specifically as a women's dormitory, it became the first building constructed off the main campus.
