SDC and UK’s independent student newspaper, the Kentucky Kernel, poll students to name the “best” places, people, events, entertainment and classes on campus and the surrounding community. All UK and Lexington Community College students are eligible to vote and results are published by the Kernel in late spring. All full–time student participants are entered into a drawing for several prizes including a grand prize of two student season lower arena tickets to every home basketball game.
