Station/Repeater Location
The club station, W4JP, is located in room 553 of Anderson Hall. Sponsored by the College of Engineering, the station is equipped for 2-meter and HF operation. Contact Gene Yates if you would like to be checked out as an operator and to arrange for access.
The station is also host to the 147.165 MHz (out) / 147.765 MHz (in) repeater and the 923.25 (out) / 439.25 (in) ATV repeater, both a cooperative arrangement between the UK club and the Bluegrass Amateur Radio Society. Both repeaters are open and usable from just about anywhere in the Lexington area. The VHF voice repeater should be especially easy to hit using an HT from anywhere on the UK campus.
Meetings
Club meetings for 2000-2001 are on the first Thursday of each month at 4:00 P.M. in Room 553 - Anderson Hall.
Listserv
In addition to club meetings, the club maintains an electronic mailing list to keep all members of the UK amateur community informed and provide a forum to discuss and share ideas, ask questions, and get help. The mailing list is managed by a program called a list server. The UKARC mailing list is hosted by the University of Kentucky's list server.
To participate in the UKARC mailing list you must first subscribe to the list. You can subscribe (or unsubscribe) by filling out this form.
