ARTICLE I
: NAME1.1 |
The name of the organization shall be University of Kentucky Buddhist Association (UKBA). |
ARTICE II: PURPOSE
2.1 |
To promote fellowship among Buddhist students in University of Kentucky. |
2.2 |
To bring students, faculty, and staff together in taking refuge with the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha of the Sages. |
2.3 |
To promote the essential teachings of the Traditional Buddhism-the Noble Tripitaka. |
2.4 |
To participate in rescuing the boundless living beings from suffering: old age, sickness, and death, etc. |
2.5 |
To promote the path to the cessation of suffering-Noble Eightfold Path, namely, Right Views, Right Intention, Right Speech, Right Behavior, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, and Right Meditative Concentration. |
2.6 |
To promote the Bodhisattas Six Paramita: Charity, Morality Precepts, Patience, Vigor, MeditativeConcentration, and Wisdom (Prajna). |
2.7 |
To share the answer to problem of existence such as "Who am I really?" and "Why do I exist?" and most importantly to provide the road to Buddhahood. |
