  • HAPI Online, Hispanic American Periodicals Index. Searchable resource containing bibliographic citations to articles, book reviews, documents, original literary works, and other materials appearing in more than 500 key social science and humanities journals. Available to University of Kentucky on-campus users.
  • LANIC, the Latin American Network Information Center at the University of Texas.
  • Teatro Español del Siglo de Oro, database of dramatic works of sixteenth and seventeenth century Spain. Includes works by Calderon de la Barca, Lope de Vega, etc. Accessible from campus computers and off-campus via the proxy server.
  • Clase and Periodica, available via FirstSearch. Indexes documents published in Latin American journals (from 24 different countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as from publications that focus on Pan-American issues) specializing in social sciences and humanities (Clase), and science and technology (Periodica). Covers 2,600 scholarly journals published in Spanish, Portuguese, French and English, plus monographs, conference proceedings, and technical reports. Accessible via campus computers.   • Handbook of Latin American Studies, the most important bibliographical publication in the field of Latin American studies, both in the wide range of topics that it covers and in the length of time that it has been published (58 years); an annotated subject bibliography of publications in the humanities and social sciences.

  • Nettie Lee Benson Latin American Collection, from The University of Texas at Austin. Specialized research library focusing on materials from and about Latin America, and on materials relating to Spanish-speaking peoples in the United States. Comprises over 615,000 books, periodicals, and pamphlets; two million pages of manuscripts; 19,000 maps; and 20,000 microforms.
  • Zona Latina, site for media and marketing in Latin America. Resources include: 620+ newspaper links, 1100+ magazine links, 750+ radio links, 850+ television links and much more; updated daily.

  • Ancient Mesoamerican Civilizations, consists of short, referenced essays organized by civilization (Maya, Mixtec, Zapotec, and Aztec) on Mesoamerican writing systems, governments, and religions. Users can also read essays on the Mayan calendar, "How the Sky Works," and on Maya and Zapotec political structures. Additionally includes a selective list of Mesoamerican Internet resources and a brief bibliography.

  • The Latin American Development Archive, developed by the Program in Comparative International Development, Johns Hopkins University.
  • Latin American Government Documents Project, provided by David Block of the Olin Library of Cornell University, attempts to "organize and describe the many Latin American official documents now appearing on the Internet." Organized by country and agency, within subject themes that include statistical sources, executive documents, national legislative documents, national judicial documents, and subnational documents. Most of the pointers are to Spanish language sites.
